Hello everyone!

I know school just started. At least for the Night Class, and the Day Class has only just gone back to classes. I thought this might be a fun way to get to know others though. So I thought up some questions and was thinking we could all get to know one another through the message boards.

I'll go first!!

1.) My Name is Yuuki Kuran! It's nice meeting everyone.
2.) I'm 16 years old. If I was in the day class I'd be a first year
3.) I'm not in any right now. But I'd be happy to look into some! Does anyone have recommendations? I can play the cello. I'd like to look at various things, though.
4.) Parfaits, napping, running around
5.) Math and Science, wasting food, jerks
6.) I'd like to work in a capacity that would allow me to help others and mend bridges between various people!

I really mean it about the clubs! What are people looking into, if anything?

Also, I'm just curious, no big deal, this is purely hypothetical, but are there any night class female students who don't have a roommate but actually want one? Just wondering.

Anyway! Are we allowed to use the message boards for games, too? What about shiritori? I can't be the only one who wants to use them for fun, right?

Has anyone told you that in human society, it's taboo to be romantically involved with a close relative? It's legal in some countries to marry a first cousin, but even that's frowned upon.

Are you having trouble finding a roommate?

I didn't realize...! That's so bizarre. Mother and father were siblings too, so I never thought anything of it. They're the best couple in the universe. I'm not sure how to feel that someone would think it's taboo. It's crazy! And also confusing. Don't humans form the closest bonds with their siblings, too?

As for roommates... [Err... how can she say this? 'I don't have any friends'. Sounds depressing. But it's not like she came here with a lot of exposure to the outside world.] My brother is a little [Heartsick...] overly protective. He decided that he would choose a roommate for me.

But I'm a little worried that if I don't find people or prompt him he'll never choose and I'll be left alone or forced to room with him. He was a little [Dismayed] taken-aback that I didn't want the two of us to room together. So I'm just... trying to help him.

Humans form close bonds with siblings, but they are platonic rather than romantic or sexual. In the case of humans, it's a taboo beacuse genetic defects are common when people produce offspring with close relatives. Vampires don't have that problem, especially not purebloods. It might still be somewhat of an issue for common vampires. I haven't researched it that far.

If you haven't found someone to be your roommate within two weeks, I'm certain that Kaname would approve of me.

Also, that would be awesome! I can bring up your name to him. Just don't feel bad if he's stubborn about it all. He's just sort of petty sometimes.

For humans, anyway. Even marrying a first cousin is illegal for them in many but not all countries, for that reason.

I might not be the most fun roommate to have, though, so do try to find someone that you really want to be roommates with first. I'm sure you can persuade him, no matter who you choose.

I'm sure you'd be just fine. I might be the weird one. I mean, if you room with me we can't do each other's nails or the like.

Still, thank you for explaining things to me. Humans are quite fragile. To think that something so natural could genetically devastate them. It's a little sad.

Weirdness is in the eye of the beholder. I would call you inexperienced rather than weird.

That's a polite way to put it, even if it's an understatement.

[She does, at least, realize how inexperienced she is compared to her peers right now. It's something she'll only be able to overcome with time.]

I hope that my time at school can help fix that a little bit.
